Growing in The Darke, Ag Luncheon: Spray Drone Demo

OSU Extension Darke County, Darke County Soil and Water Conservation District, and the Farm Service Agency are partnering on a new quarterly agriculture learning series. There will be a Darke county program once a quarter pertaining to various timely topics for Darke County producers. The first session will be on July 7th from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the County Farm by the Sheriff’s Office. The spray drone demo will be done by Knapke Ag LLC. This is new local business started by a pair of brothers out of Bradford providing custom drone services The spray drone business started booming in Western Ohio suddenly this season and there are many new things to learn with this technology for researchers, extension, and producers. Dr. John Fulton, our OSU Extension Precision Ag Specialist will be speaking on drone technology. Lunch will be provided thanks to Farm Credit and will be winner’s pork tenderloin, grilled by Dudley Lipps.
