Hala Tryon Wright, age 100 of Greenville, Ohio passed away peacefully on October 13th 2024. Born January 29th, 1924 in Oxford, Michigan to the late George W. and Maude M. (Brown) Tryon. Prior to her marriage, she worked at Dayton Racket in Arcanum, Ohio, and at Wright Patterson Air Force Base as a timekeeper during WWII. She was also a homemaker and raised her four children with love and care.
She was a member of New Life Fitness for 18 years and a lifetime member of the American Motorcycle Association. She enjoyed a good book and could often be found reading. Hala was an avid gardener as well as a crafter. She was known to knit and crochet blankets for her family, those acts of love showed her family how deeply she cared for them. She also was known to ride her bike all over Greenville. She has left a lasting impact on anyone who has had the privilege of having her in their life. Hala will be deeply missed by her family and friends.
Hala is preceded in death by her parents, as well as her husband, James P. Wright. Her Siblings, Robert Tryon, Blair Tryon, Victor Tryon, Richard Tryon, and Margery Ellen Henninger, and her Granddaughter, Sarah Iris Anne Hime.
She is survived by her children, Jeanne Wright of Mt. Horbe,WI, Jamie (Michelle) Wright of Dallas, GA, Jeffrey (Jill) Wright, of Greenville, OH, and Jason (Bobby) Wright of Akron, OH. As well as her Grandchildren, Joel Wright, Jared Wright, Jansen Wright, and Grace Hime. And one Great Granddaughter, Whitney Wright.
Visitation will be held at Zechar-Bailey Funeral Home from 12 PM – 1 PM on Monday, October 21, 2024. The funeral will be 1 PM following the visitation, the service will be given by Rev. Adam Wirrig. Burial will follow at Fort Jefferson (Oak Grove) Cemetery. Memorial contribution may be made to Ever Heart Hospice in Hala’s memory.
