On August 28, 2021, we all lost a great man. Harry Kenneth “Kenny” Bowman age 87 was a very loving and caring man to all that knew him. He was born June 17, 1934 in Clermont County Southern Ohio and the son of the late Harry W. and Rosa M. (Hoskins) Bowman.
Kenny was a man who lived a full life. Professionally he devoted his life to the community as a barber and hair stylist at his own shop the “Hair Shack” located in downtown Greenville for 60 years retiring in 2011 and served as an Elder for many years at his church DayStar Grace Brethren Church of Union City, Indiana. His laugh was contagious. Kenny enjoyed fishing, working in his garden and making apple cider. Above all, he loved his family. He was a devoted husband, loving father, grandfather and great grandfather.
Kenny is survived by his devoted wife of 69 years, Dolores Ann (Hartzell) Bowman of Union City, Ohio; children Rudy (Michelle) Bowman, Rick (Patty) Bowman, Alice Collins, Annette Randall, Rusty Bowman and Royce (Carmen) Bowman; grandchildren Shelby Bowman, Spencer Bowman, Jamie Bowman, Jason (Brittany) Bowman, Josh (Courtney) Bowman, Ryan (Lisa) Collins, Ross Collins, Michael Collins, Elijay Eby, Ashley (Mike) Hoffman, Ian (Megan) Everett, Kenny (Gerri) Bowman, Kristin Bowman and Mackenzie Bowman; 36 great grandchildren, 7 step great grandchildren; brothers and sisters Steve Bowman, Carole Roberson, Donnie (Sierra) Bowman and Jean (E.J.) Byram as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM Thursday September 2, 2021 in the Zechar Bailey Funeral Home Greenville, Ohio with Pastor Nick Philiposian officiating. Burial will follow in the Greenville Township Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM in the funeral home.
