Sando, Helen L., age 91, of Troy, formerly of Arcanum, passed into the presence of the Lord Jesus very early in the morning of Friday, October 21, 2022.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Chalmer & Mary Sleppy, husband, Marvin Sando, son, Lee Sando & brothers, Donnie, Dale & Robert Sleppy.
She retired as Kindergarten teacher for Arcanum local schools. She was a longtime member of Pleasant View Missionary Church, and served alongside Marvin as caretakers for the Ludlow Falls Missionary Church Campground. She was also a member of the Greenville Garden Club.
Helen is survived by a son, David (Heidi) Sando; daughter, Donna (Jeff) Kephart; daughter-in-law, Sandy Sando; grandchildren, Joseph (Danielle) Sando, Sharon Stahl, Sallyann (Matt) Golson, Maizie (Jonathan) Bryant, Jesse (Yuliya) Sando, Eliana (Aaron) Davis, Levi Sando, Sarah (Matthew) Lockwood, Daniel (Robin) Kephart, Nathaniel Kephart, Rob Sando, Kyle Sando, Jon (Tonya) Sando, Leann (Shawn) Perry; great-grandchildren, Nolan, Joanna, Elijah, Eliza, Isaac, Faith, Hope, Ryker, Liam, Lola, Ellie, Archer, Chloe, Charlie & Hazel; sister, Betty Weisenbarger and numerous other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held 10 am Fri. Oct. 28 at the Kreitzer Funeral Home, 204 N. Main St. Arcanum, OH 45304, with burial to follow in Otterbein Cemetery. Visitation will be held Thursday, 5-7 pm at the funeral home. If desired, donations to the Ludlow Falls Church Camp may be made payable to MCECR, 1509 W. Main St. Troy, OH 45373.
