GREENVILLE- At the ripe old age of 10, Paisley Hollinger may very well be the hottest ticket in 4-H Equine.
Contesting two horses, Twister and Zeus (both 15 years old), it didn’t take long to see she was in control and the animals responded well to her commands.
Looks can be deceiving.
A fifth grader at Tri-Village, Hollinger as only been riding for only two years, she admits, there are times she gets a little nervous.
“I rarely feel that I’m ever in control when I’m out there,” the youngster said/ “Horses are crazy sometimes and you never know what the horse will do next so you are never really in control.”
As good as Hollinger is, she gives credit to parents, Ben and Sarah..
“Mom and dad really support me and encourage me to always do my best,” admitted Hollinger.
Hollinger went on to say that Twister was a better horse than Zeus because she has won three championships on her. She also said that Twister recently had a foal.
“I’m going to keep the foal and dad will break him. I will be the one to train him”
Hollinger is a member of Horse and Rider 4-H club
