Holly Marie McEldowney

February 21, 1969 – April 7, 2025

Holly Marie (Fout) McEldowney of Versailles passed away peacefully with her loving family by her side on April 7th, 2025, after a courageous battle with cancer.

Born on February 21st, 1969, in Greenville, Ohio. She was raised on a farm which developed her love for nature and the outdoors. A devoted mother, daughter and wife, Holly cherished her four daughters and provided them with love, care, and guidance. A true “soccer” mom who spent years cheering on her daughters. Her dedication to her girls was unwavering and she cherished every moment. Holly also relished her role as a coach’s wife, supporting her husband and adopting his sports team members into her family and treating them like her own. She was always there supporting, encouraging, and celebrating each achievement.

Her creativity and talent extended beyond sports. Holly was incredibly crafty and enjoyed time making beautiful things. From scrapbooks, to flipping old furniture, to painting new decor. Her hands were always busy creating and her heart was always full of love and those around her. Holly was a woman of faith, a devout Christian who lived her life with kindness, compassion, and a strong sense of purpose. She always preached “that we never know what anyone is going through, so just be kind” and “that all the hard things we face in life shape us for what’s to come.” Her faith was the foundation that guided her and provided her with comfort. Holly is survived by parents Michael and Kathy (Feithshan) Fout. Her husband Roger. Her daughters, Kayla, Courtney (Jesse), Kami (Caiden), Caitlin (Nick). Holly’s brother, Tracy (Erin) and sister, Mary (Bill) Wolke. Holly is joined with her grandparents E.J. and Hazel Fout and Howard and Mary Feitshans.

Holly McEldowney will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Her legacy of love, faith and kindness will continue to inspire those who were blessed to be a part of her life.

A Celebration of Holly’s life will take place at a later date. The family will receive friends on Friday April 11, 2025, from 2:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Zechar Bailey Funeral Home, Greenville, Ohio. Memorial contributions may be made to the Cancer Association of Darke County or EverHeart Hospice.
