COLUMBUS—State Senator Steve Huffman (R-Tipp City) received the prestigious Guardian of Small Business Award from the National Federation of Independent Businesses/Ohio (NFIB) in recognition of his efforts to support small business issues in the state legislature.
“I am honored to receive the Guardian of Small Business award from the NFIB,” said Huffman. “Small businesses are what make Ohio’s economy and our local communities great. It has been and will continue to be a priority of mine to create an environment in the Buckeye State that protects and benefits small businesses.”
NFIB governing board members chose Senator Huffman to receive the Guardian of Small Business Award for his strong record supporting Ohio’s small businesses.
Senator Huffman’s legislative accomplishments supporting small businesses include:
- Creating an education system that focuses on student outcomes
- Preserving the Business Investor Deduction
- A strong record of fiscal restraint
