ANSONIA- Now that football season in Darke County is complete, it’s time to move indoors for basketball season.
As usual, the lady hoopsters will get underway.
In the past, Tri-Village has been the team to beat but not this year.
The Lady Patriots will have it tough this year.
From the latest reports, the Patriots will not have enough for a junior varsity squad as only 10 girls will dress this season.
Senior Casey Lewis will be the lobe senior and can’t be expected to carry the lone leadership role.
Tri-Village will open it’s season at Vandalia Butler with Hamilton Badin on November 23 at 3 p.m. and will play Saturday at 1:30 against Garfield Heights Trinity.
The Patriots will have their home opener on November 26 with Preble Shawnee.
Mississinawa Valley may very well be the class of the county. The Blackhawks was a tough ticket a year ago and should be tough this year.
Franklin Monroe with it’s first four games on the road, playing at Dixie, National Trail, Houston and Emanuel Christian before coming home before having it’s home opener with Twin Valley South on December 5th.
Ansonia will open at St. Henry on the 23rd and will have it’s home opener on the 26th with Tri-County North.
Arcanum will open at home on 23rd with Ft. Recovery and will host Newton on the 26th.
Bradford will open on the road at Emmanuel Christian on November 15 and will play at Troy Christian before playing it’s first conference game at Twin Valley South on November 26th.
The Lady Roaders will have their home opener on November 30, against Fairlawn.
