Jack Leroy Good, 88 of Rossburg, Ohio, passed away on Saturday October 16, 2021 at 8:40 PM at Versailles Rehab and Healthcare. He was born September 15, 1933 in Sidney, Ohio, the son of the late Ralph L. Good and Lena M. (Schmidt) Thwaits.
Jack was a farmer and worked at John Morrel in Union City then at Teledyne Drop Forge in Portland, Indiana a machinist for 31 years. He served his country in the United States Army. He was a member of Ansonia Methodist Church, Ansonia American Legion, Past President of Ambassador Park in Fort Recovery, and loved to travel, ride horses, and he furnished sound equipment for fairs and carnivals.
Jack is preceded in death by his parents; his sisters and brothers in law: Mary and Bill Rihm, Bill and Alreaola Kammer, Shirley and Bob Denlinger; and his brother in law: Wayne Heck.
Jack is survived by his wife: Carol A. (Peters) Good of Rossburg whom he married November 29, 1959; his daughters: Michele Good & Tom Stevenson, Sandy Welker and Scott Rindler; his grandchildren: Jessica Knick, Jared Knick, and Matt Welker; great granddaughters: Penny Knick and Charlee Knick; his siblings and spouses: Iris and Ron Bennett, Barb Heck, Marie and Gene Rieman, Ron and Pat Thwaits.
Services will be held on Friday October 22, 2021 at 11:00 AM at Zechar Bailey Funeral Home, Greenville, Ohio with Pastor Roger Emerson officiating. Burial will follow in Ansonia Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 9:00 AM until 11:00 AM on Friday at the funeral home. Veterans graveside services will be conducted by the Greenville Veterans Honor Guard. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
