James “Jim” W. Godsey, 79, of Greenville, Ohio, passed away on Sunday, October 17, 2021, at Wayne Healthcare in Greenville.
He was born on May 15, 1942, in Preble County, Ohio, to the late Betty Jane Welch and Cecil D. Godsey.
Jim serviced his country honorably in the United States Army, retiring in 1980. He was a member of the VFW, the American Legion, and the Moose. Anyone who knew Jim would say he loved to talk to people.
Jim is survived by his wife of 36 years, Linda (Hoening) Godsey, whom he married on November 10, 1984; his son, Scott (Janice) Vaughn of Arizona; his siblings, Chaz (Paula) Godsey of New Madison, Ohio, and Caroline Ewell of Seattle, Washington.
A memorial service will be held at a later date. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery in Greenville.
