James L. “Jimmy” Bain, 73, of Grenville, Ohio, passed away unexpectedly at his residence on Saturday, August 27, 2022.
He was born on January 21, 1949, in Greenville, to the late Dean and Christine (Marker) Bain.
In addition to his parents, Jimmy was preceded by his younger brother, David Bain.
Jimmy is survived by his wife, Debbie (Irwin) Bain of 43 years; his daughter, Jessica (Bain) Kimmel (Ryan Class) of Greenville; his grandchildren, Tori, Logan, and Landen Kimmel all of home; his special girls, Mollie Ruble and Alex Ruble, along with three special little ones, Lennox and Paislee Root, and Brooks Ruble; his brothers, Dean (Diana) Bain of North Carolina, and John (Darlene) Bain of Greenville; his sister, Alice Barton of Grenville; his sister-in-law, Linda Cook of Georgia; numerous nieces and nephews; and his best friend and beloved dog, Freckles.
Jimmy loved being with his family and especially his grandchildren. He was an avid Lady Wave Softball fan. Jimmy was a member of the Greenville VFW Post 7262, American Legion Post 140 and the Eagles #2177. He also loved going fishing and cooking for his family and friends.
A private funeral service will take place at the convenience of the family.
A celebration of life is being planned in October at the Greenville Moose Lodge. More detail to follow.
