James William Sander, age 81 of Gettysburg, Ohio passed away at 4:17 PM on Wednesday July 17, 2024 at his home in Gettysburg, Ohio. James was born in Bradford, Ohio on September 10, 1942, he was a son to the late Herbert & Thelma (Mers) Sander.
James was a former firefighter for Gettysburg Fire Dept., as well as a Taxidermist. He was a member of Trinity Wesleyan Church, in Greenville. In his free time he enjoyed using his Ham Radio, he loved hunting and fishing. He enjoyed his hunting trips and had a natural skill for woodworking. He was known to make beautiful birdhouses. He loved his family more than anything, and will be truly missed.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
James is survived by his wife, Delores (Kreitzer) Sander, whom he married on July 29, 1962. They shared a wonderful life, full of many happy memories. He also leaves behind his children, his Son, Gregg Sander, and Daughter, Melanie Sander.
