AUGUST 13, 1951 – SEPTEMBER 4, 2023
John Allen Maxwell, age 71 of Greenville, Ohio passed away at his home on Monday, September 4, 2023 at 11:28 PM. Born in Greenville on August 13, 1951 he was a son to the late Chuck & Ellen Richardson. John had been a carpenter in his younger years, and later in life, he was a produce farmer. He was a proud United States Army veteran, having served in the Vietnam War. John enjoyed fishing, playing cards, and gardening; and had even won a conservationist award. His passion was going to sell produce at the 2nd Street Farmers Market in Dayton, he genuinely loved being there, meeting new people and hanging out. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by an infant sibling: sisters Jean Karns; Ona Haley: brother-in-law Larry Pierce: mother and father –in-law John & Helen Beaver.
Survived by his wife of 49 years Eilene (Beaver) Maxwell, whom he married June 29, 1974: children Jalena & Eric Pfister; Shane & Brittany Maxwell: grandchildren Lucian Pfister; Wyatt Pfister; Kaijsa Maxwell; Kaden Maxwell; Brenton Comer; Cole Turner; Taylor Turner: brothers Jim & Lydia Wick; Herbert & Janet Maxwell: sister-in-law Linda Pierce: special cousin Kathy Miller: special friend Marcia Garland.
