John Gerald Puissant, went to his final resting place on November 19, 2024, at his home surrounded by his family while under the exceptional and tenderhearted care of EverHeart Hospice after a courageous battle with cancer.
John was born June 14, 1953, in Green Bay, Wisconsin to the late Edwin Sr. and Mary Puissant. John was also preceded in death by his father-in-law, Charles “Chuck” Hartzell; son-in-law, Jorge Bahena; sister, Cindy Puissant and the love of his life, his beloved wife Cheryl whom he married on November 8, 1986.
John is survived by his mother-in-law, Charlene Hartzell, daughters Tracy Bahena and Sheila (Chris “Lars”) Larson, grandchildren Tyler Libbey, Dylan (Brianna) Cook, Kayla (Kollin) Bahena, Mykenzie (Connor) Broadland, Daniel (Stephanie) Gonzalez, Dawsyn Larson, Davyn Larson and Isabella Bahena. Great-grandchildren, Omar Bahena, Jake Bahena, Emery “Birdie” Cook, Krew Sanders and Nova “LuLu” Cook. Brothers, Robert (Mary) Puissant, Ed (Laura) Puissant. Brothers in law Tom (Peggy) Hartzell and Larry (Sylvia) Hartzell. Special nephews Michael Puissant and Joe Puissant. Many nieces, nephews, cousins, family, friends and “tankies”. Special angel on earth, his hospice nurse Tiffany Labig.
John started his career as a Steel Tank Builder in the 70’s at Brown Minneapolis Tank, in the early 2000’s he purchased a portion of the company, now known as Brown Tank while continuing to travel the United States as a field superintendent. Throughout his career, John made a positive impact on the lives of so many. He mentored countless individuals, helping them reach their full potential. His dedication to his work and his commitment to excellence set him apart as a true leader in his field.
