April 11, 1950 — November 3, 2024
John “Phil” Phillip Robbins, age 74 of Rossburg, passed away on Sunday, November 3, 2024 at Reid Hospital in Richmond, IN.
He was born on April 11, 1950 in Greenville to the late William and Norma (Dickey) Robbins.
In addition to his parents, Phil is preceded in death by his sister, Mary Elaine Miller.
Those left to cherish Phil’s memory include his loving wife of 35 years, Lisa Robbins; children, Eric Burns (Lindsey) of New Madison, Mendi Burns of Greenville, and Kailey Hibner (Joe) of Rossburg; brother, William “Bud” Robbins (Karon) of Rogers, AR; sister, Nancy Myers (Bill) of Greenville; grandchildren, Sarah Silva (Matt), Noah Burns (Kara), Mekenna Anderson, Brittani Trent, Jodee Burns, Aidyn Wilt, Abe Hibner, Emerie Hibner, and Luke Hibner; multiple great grandchildren; and numerous nephews.
Phil was a former employee of Corning in Greenville and worked in sales for the past 20 years fundraising for volunteer rescue squads and fire departments. He previously belonged to the Eagles in Greenville as well as the Treaty City Motorcycle Club. Phil had a passion for cars, he attended many car shows and always made sure his personal cars were clean and spotless. He also was an avid Harley Davidson rider and motorcrosser. Phil enjoyed going to breakfast on the weekends, attending auctions, walking his dogs, and “enjoying a fine cigar”. More than anything, Phil loved spending time with his grandchildren and family. He also enjoyed listening to the Cincinnati Reds on 700 WLW and rooting for whatever NFL team was winning at the time, his family would say he was a bit of a bandwagoner.
Phil’s impact on those around him was profound, and his memory will forever live on in the hearts of all who knew him. His family and friends will always cherish the precious moments shared with him.
Memorial contributions may be made to Rossburg Fire Department or the Darke County Human Society.
