John R. McDonald, age 70 formerly of Greenville, Ohio, of Minster, Ohio, died at 8:50 AM on Thursday, February 27, 2025 at Carecore at Heritage, Minster. He was born on December 20, 1954 in Dayton, Ohio to the late Earl W. & Margaret A. (Massman) McDonald. He is survived by siblings: Nancy & Rod Mitton, Bolivia, NC, Russell & Kathy McDonald, Woodruff, SC, Ruth Lasley, New Bremen. He was preceded in death by his parents, and brother Thomas McDonald. He was a member of the Good Shepherd Church in West Milton and worked as a mechanic and driver for farming operations. A private service will be held at the convenience of the family. Burial will take place at Glen Haven Memorial Gardens, New Carlisle. Arrangements have been entrusted to Hogenkamp Funeral Home, Minster, Ohio. Condolences may be left at www.hogenkampfh.com.
