Joyce Ann (Holman) Werling Bates age 84, formerly of Greenville passed away at 7:58 pm Thursday, October 26, 2023, at The Greenbriar Nursing Center in Eaton.
Joyce was born August 2, 1939, in Troy, Ohio, to the late Lawrence & Florence (Shofner) Holman. She is also preceded in death by her 1st husband, Richard Werling; and 2nd husband, Theodore Bates.
Joyce is survived by her children, Jeff & Lynn Werling of Conover, Steve & Kim Werling of Arcanum, Jim & Tisha Bates of West Alexandria, Tina Hunt of Anna and Terri & Rick Wade of Brandt; grandchildren, Amanda & John Wisecup, Trevor & Kate Bates, Jordan & Markella Bates, Alison Bates, Sheldon Bates, Danielle Reed, Ricky & Adrianne Werling, Michael Werling, Chase Werling, Cody Werling, Taylor Harner, Jason Hunt and Ryan Hunt; great grandchildren, Jonah Werling, Alamira Bates, Adaleena Bates, Harlin Bates, Avery Bates and Emberlyn Bates; and brother & sister-in-law, Michael & Becky Holman of Quincey, Illinois.
Joyce was a homemaker. She was a former member of the Rainbow Girls. She enjoyed fishing, camping, horseback riding and mowing her lawn.
