Joyce Ann Travis, 75, of Greenville, Ohio passed away Saturday, September 2, 2023 at 8:25 AM at EverHeart Hospice Care Center in Greenville, Ohio. Joyce was born July 1, 1948 to DeVon and Martha Warvel. She graduated from Greenville High School in 1966. She married Jerald Travis on June 17, 1972.
Joyce grew up in the Wesleyan Church and was a pastor’s wife, serving in Union City, Ohio; Silver Lake, Indiana; Cicero, Indiana and Shelbyville, Indiana. She loved to play the piano and organ.
Joyce is preceded in death by triplet daughters JeLene; JeVonne; JeLaine: husband Jerald Travis: sister Melissa Warvel: father DeVon Warvel: grandparents Noah and Cappie Warvel; Albert and Florence Grim.
Joyce is survived by her 3 children Ilie Travis (Christian); Ian Travis; Jewelle Canter (Chip): grandchildren Alexis, Grant, Daisy, Noah, Liam, Elias, Bianca, and Henry: great-grandson Luca: mother Martha Warvel: sister Debbie Begoon: brother Tim Warvel (Kathy).
Friends may call on the family on Tuesday, September 5, 2023 from 10:00 AM- 12:00 PM at the Zechar Bailey Funeral Home, Greenville, Ohio. Funeral to be held at 12 PM with Pastor Drew Bush presiding. Burial to follow at Greenville Township Memorial Garden, Greenville, Ohio. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Trinity Wesleyan Church.
