Julia Frances Miller, 74, of Sidney, Ohio, formerly of Greenville Ohio, passed away on Monday, July 26, 2021, at Lima Memorial Hospital in Lima, Ohio.
She was born on June 21, 1947, in Martin, Kentucky, to the late Stewart and Juanita (Allen) Hawkins.
In addition to her parents, Julia was preceded in death by her husband of 34 years, Gary Lee Miller, whom she married on March 30, 1985; and her brother, Charles Amburgy.
Julia was a simple woman with simple interests. She loved and adored her family and her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was a good cook and had a passion for baking. She enjoyed watching game shows, such as The Chase, and the Food Network. Julia was an amazing person. She was caring, compassionate and could always make you laugh. As her final gift, she was able to save the eyesight of two strangers through the generous donation of her eyes.
Julia is survived by her children, Kevin (Diana) Nation of Pine Ridge, South Carolina, and Jason (Carrie) Nation of Sidney, Ohio; her grandchildren, Garth, Tyler, Eron, Katelyn, Andrew, Kendra, Brayden, Blayton, Clint Nation, Zacary, Nathan, Courtney Hayes; her great grandchildren, Cylus, Bentley, Addison, Aubreigh, Xander, Jaxton, Daxon, Jonah, and Estella; her brother, Tim Hawkins of Greenville; and her sisters, Beulah Frasure of Sidney, and Lorraine Wilson of Troy, Ohio.
A celebration of Julia’s life will be held at 1:00 PM on Thursday, August 5, 2021 at Tribute Funeral Home, Greenville Campus, with Pastor Tony Price officiating. Burial will follow in East Zion Cemetery.
Her family will be receiving guest on Thursday from 12 noon until the time of the service at 1:00 PM at the funeral home.
