Julie O’Brien Lower, of Greenville, passed away April 15, 2021, at the age of 57.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Gary and Julia O’Brien, and survived by her sister, Susan Menendez of Florida.
The daughter of a horse-breeder, Julie had a love of animals, most notably, her dogs, Boy, Lucky and Captain. Also surviving are her cats, Sonny, Beatrice, Tiger Boy, Oopsy, and Mama Kass.
Julie served in the military, specializing in dental assisting, was a substitute teacher, and cared for her ailing mother until her passing.
Julie was a great cook, especially Swedish meatballs and hot bacon dressing, and fed the outside cat warm milk covered granola. She could read books all day, recycled everything, and taught us that squirrels have a sweet tooth. Even in sickness she laughed, and never complained. May we all learn from her that life is short and should be enjoyed to the end. We are sad she is gone, but have nothing but sweet memories of our time together.
We miss you,
Jana Kolling and Susan Nicely
