June 10, 1934 – March 26, 2023
June Ann Moody, 88, of Rossburg, Ohio, passed away on Sunday, March 26, 2023, at Reid Health in Richmond, Indiana.
She was born on June 10, 1934, in Versailles, Ohio, to the late Joseph and Golda (Rue) Matthieu.
In addition to her parents, June was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Harry J. Moody; her granddaughter, Emily Moody; step-grandson, Logan Starline; and her sister, Joanne Darner.
June’s family was the center of her universe. She loved watching her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren’s sporting events. She never let her age dictate what she could do. She worked at the Rossburg Post Office, retiring at 81. At the age of 85, she walked to the top of Clingmans Dome, the highest point in the Great Smokey Mountains. She kept her mind sharp by playing games on her cell phone and putting puzzles together at the Brethren Home. She was the rock of her family. The cornerstone on which a lasting family legacy has been built. Her absence will be felt by everyone who was blessed enough to know her.
June is survived by her children, Tom (Cindy) Moody of Rossburg, Don Moody of Ansonia, Connie (Dave) Starline of Ansonia, Kathy (Bob) Wagner of Versailles, and Tammy (Todd) Klipstine of Ansonia; her grandchildren, Mindy (Randy) Ward, Clark (Chelsie) Moody, Dylan (Taryn Dohme) Moody, Logan (Kayla) Moody, Andy Howdieshell, Danielle (Seth) Shepphard, Nathan (Tonya) Riffell, Heath (Mary) Riffell, Quenton (Jene) Riffell, Tyler Starline, Chad Wagner, Craig (Kaley) Wagner, Eric (Ashley) Wagner, Adam Klipstine and Chance Klipstine; 48 great grandchildren; and 12 great-great grandchildren with one on the way. June also leaves behind her brother, Paul Matthieu of Union, Ohio; and her sisters-in-law, D’Arleen Waymire and Gail Moody.
A celebration of June’s life will be held at 10:30 AM on Friday, March 31, 2023, at Tribute Funeral Homes, Greenville Campus, with Pastor Roger Emerson officiating. Burial will follow at Greenville Township Memorial Gardens.
Her family will be receiving guests on Thursday, March 30, 2023, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
