The Darke County Junior Fair King and Queen Pageant will be held Tuesday, July 11, 7:00pm, Radiant Lighthouse, 5256 Sebring Warner Road, Greenville.
The contestants must be 16-18 years of age as of January 1 of the current year (Jr. Fair age limit) and must be sponsored by a youth organization in Darke County that exhibits at the fair: 4-H club, FFA chapter, FCCLA chapter, Grange, Girl Scouts, Boy Scouts, Jr. Fairboard, etc. and the candidates must be a member of their sponsor organization.
During the pageant, each contestant will introduce themselves and share their Jr. Fair, community, and school activities. The reigning Jr. Fair King and Queen will introduce the finalists and ask the final question.
King, Queen, and three attendants will be selected and they as well as the court will be given a list of activities in which they will be expected to participate throughout the fair. Royalty will be expected to participate in activities throughout their year’s reign, including parades and other county fairs.
