Kenneth Allen Coates Jr., Age 55, of Greenville, Ohio passed away unexpectedly at his home Monday, January 21, 2025. Kenneth was born on August 7, 1969 in Greenville, Ohio, to the late Kenneth Coates Sr. & Ona (Lindemuth) Coates. He served in the US Army for 8 years and was the assistant caretaker of the Darke County fairgrounds for many years following.
Kenneth is a member of the Greenville Moose Lodge and had many hobbies he enjoyed doing. He loved to golf, fish, and had a great passion for woodworking. He also was known to enjoy some of his favorite beer, Busch Light and gambling a bit. Kenneth was the biggest fan of Ohio State football you would meet. Kenneth was a very special man and will be deeply missed by his friends, family, and all who had the pleasure of crossing his path. GO BUCKS!
Kenneth is preceded in death by his Parents.
Kenneth also leaves behind a lasting legacy with his family, Sisters, Michele (Gary) Foshee and Wendy (Steve) Poole. His Nieces and Nephews, Heath (Ashlee) Dickensheets, Cody (Chelsea) Dickensheets, Dustin (Cora) Waymire, and Kaleb Poole. Also his Great Nieces and Nephews, Laliee McCubbin, Izech Dickensheets, Maggie Dickensheets, Lukas Dickensheets, and Jasper Waymire.
A celebration of Kenneth’s life will be held at 4:00 PM Monday, January 27, 2025, at Zechar Bailey Funeral Home. The family will receive friends before the service from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Zechar Bailey Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made in Kenneth’s memory to The Greenville Moose Lodge.
