Kevin Ian Henninger, age 69, of Greenville OH, passed away on Friday, December 1, 2023 at his home. He was born on February 6, 1954 in Greenville to the late Joseph Warren Henninger and Margery Ellen Tyron.
In addition to his parents, Kevin is preceded in death by his sister, Bethany Gonzalez; and brother, Brent Henninger.
Kevin is survived by his partner in crime, Sheryll Hedger; daughter, Kathy (Kevin) Stryker of Greenville; son, Kevin (Michele) Henninger of Versailles; siblings, Cheryl (Jim) Erbaugh, Barry (Wanda) Henninger, Melanie (Greg) Perry, Jan (Tom) Cyphers, Randy Henninger, Charlotte Sherman; sister-in-law, Mary Kay Henninger; grandchildren, Kaitlin (Cory) Higgins, Kristen (Trey) Mong, Lacy (Dalton) Mayer, Isabele Henninger, Joseph Henninger, and Noah Henninger; and great grandchildren, Maverick Mong, Stryker Higgins, Ava Mayer, and Baby Girl Mong.
Kevin graduated from F.M. High School in 1972. He retired from General Electric in 2010 after working there for 38 years as a service technician, supervisor, and dispatcher. Kevin belonged to Painter Creek Harley Davidson Hog Chapter in the late 80’s. He enjoyed being outdoors especially when he was out riding his tractor. Kevin loved riding his Harleys, he had a 71 FLH (the toad), 86 FLCH, and 10’ Trike Tri Glide. He enjoyed attending his grandchildren’s activities. You could find Kevin working on one of his many projects. He had a joy for restoring houses. Kevin was always willing to lend a helping hand, he enjoyed helping the less fortunate.
Kevin made some of the best and unique rice crispy treats. He always gave positive encouragement to those he came in contact with and at the end of their conversation he would tell them to have a blessed day.
A visitation will be held from 1:00 PM-4:00 PM on Sunday, December 17, 2023 at Tribute Funeral Homes, Greenville. A service will follow at 4:00 PM at the funeral homes with Pastor Tony Price.
