Kristopher “Kris” Alan Brown, 43, of Versailles, Ohio, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, August 23, 2023, at his home.
He was born on August 23, 1980, in Greenville, Ohio, to Kris Brown and Cindy (Jenkinson) Brown.
Kris was preceded in death by his father, Kris Alan Brown; his paternal grandparents, Noel and Ruth Ann Brown; and his maternal grandparents, Charles and Inez Jenkinson.
He is survived by his mother and her spouse, Cindy Brown and Greg Moody of Ansonia; his sisters, Heather (Danny) Suerdieck of Greenville and Jessica (Peter) Deem of Galloway, Ohio; his nieces and nephews, Sheridan, Graison, Cooper, Gatlin, and Irelynn; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
As a youth, Kris was very involved with 4-H, showing rabbits, chickens, and cows at the Great Darke County Fair. Kris was a 1999 graduate of Ansonia High School. He received several additional security certifications over the years. Kris was a supervisor for Weaver Eggs in Versailles and was a member of a local Catholic church. He loved animals, especially dogs. Kris was known to take great pride in his flowers and garden each year. Kris loved being an uncle and spoiling his nieces and nephews. The people that knew Kris knew he loved to play practical jokes, had an infectious smile and laugh, a gift to grow beautiful things, and a loving heart.
A funeral service will take place at 10:30 AM on Friday, September 1, 2023, at Tribute Funeral Homes, Greenville Campus, with Father Matt Feist officiating. Burial will follow in Ansonia Cemetery.
Guests may visit with Kris’ family on Thursday, August 31, 2023, from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at the funeral home in Greenville.
Kris’ birthday wish was for donations to be given to the Brain Aneurysm Foundation. Therefore, the family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be given to the Brain Aneurysm Foundation, 269 Hanover Street, Building 3, Hanover, MA 02339.
