Larry G. Cox age 87, of Greenville passed away at 12:28 pm Tuesday, May 17, 2022, at Reid Health in Richmond.
Larry was born May 20, 1934, in Darke County to the late Lawrence E. & Elizabeth C. (Gentner) Cox. Larry was also preceded in death by his late wife, Myrtle M. Holsapple Cox; step daughter, Teresa Broderick; daughter-in-law, Paddy Cox; step daughter-in-law, Kimi Holsapple; and brother, Marion Cox.
Larry is survived by his wife, Marianne (Neff) Cox; children, Kathy (Cox) & Tom Sackett of Pataskala, Connie (Cox) Klosterman of Greenville, Rex Cox of Greenville and Renee & George Knick of Greenville; step children, Dave & Bea Holsapple of Castine, John & Roxi Holsapple of Castine and Steve & Kim Holsapple of Greenville; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren; brother & sister-in-law, Roger & Marjorie Cox of Montana; sister-in-law, Anne Cox of Greenville; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Larry retired from Dayton Power & Light with 43 years of service as a lineman. Larry was a member of the Greenville Missionary Church, Greenville Moose and the Union City Country Club. Larry was a past member of the Darke County Sheriff’s Patrol.
A funeral service will be held at 10:30 am Monday, May 23, 2022, at Zechar Bailey Funeral Home in Greenville with Rev. Gary Oser officiating. Burial will follow in Old Teegarden Cemetery in Ansonia. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 2:00 to 5:00 pm at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Reid Health Hospice 1913 Chester Blvd. Richmond, IN 47374.
