Lester Varvel, 68 of Piqua, Ohio, passed away on Wednesday November 20, 2024 at 5:49 PM at the Cleveland Clinic. Lester was born February 21, 1956 in Dayton, Ohio, the son of the late Raymond and Mary Alice (Beedy) Varvel.
Lester was a machinist; a member of the Moose Lodge; he was a huge Cleveland Browns fan; he especially loved riding his Harley and going on rides with his family and friends.
Lester is preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Mary Francis Norris; his brothers, Michael and Russell Varvel.
Lester is survived by his brother and sister in law, John and Cheryl Varvel; his nieces, Teresa Winter, and Sherry Wilson; and his nephews, Yancy and Jeremy Varvel.
Services will be held on Saturday November 30, 2024 at 10:30 AM at Zechar Bailey Funeral Home, Greenville, Ohio with Rev. Gary Oser officiating. Burial will follow in Greenville Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM on Friday November 29, 2024. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.
