Linda Lou Armstrong, 82, of Greenville, Ohio, passed away during the early hours of Saturday, May 15, 2021, at Rest Haven Nursing Home in Greenville.
She was born on November 6, 1938, in Urbana, Ohio, to the late George and Mamie (O’Brien) Long.
In addition to her parents, Linda was preceded in death by her husband, Charles F. Armstrong; and her siblings, George Steven Long, and Patsy Rush.
Linda was a member of Trinity Wesleyan Church in Greenville. She attended Sinclair Community College, receiving an Associates in Arts degree in 1978. Linda had a passion for life and a love of people. Before she was a resident of Rest Haven, she would frequently volunteer there, visiting with and singing to the residents. Linda enjoyed puzzles, shopping, crafts and bingo. She loved being in the company of friends and family.
Linda is survived by her sister-in-law, Jeannie Long of Greenville; several nieces and nephews; and a very special friend, Kris Culver.
A celebration of Linda’s life will take place at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, May 19, 2021, at Tribute Funeral Homes, Greenville Campus, with Pastor Tony Price officiating. Burial will follow in Royal Oaks Cemetery near Brookville.
Linda’s family will be receiving guests on Wednesday from 10:00 AM until the start of the service at 11:00 AM.
