The Darke County Animal Shelter has “Adoption Specials”. The adoption fee for the four “long time residents” Mama, Ox, Ray and Jessie have been reduced to $45.
They got the Bordatella and Parvo/Lepto/Distemper vaccines and are heartworm negative, dewormed and microchipped.
The Shelter’s visiting hours are Monday-Friday 8am-11:45 am and 1 pm-4pm. Saturday 9am-11:30 am. The Shelter is located at 5066 County Home Rd. Greenville, OH 45331 and you can reach them at 937-547-1645.
Our knowledge about Mama is very limited and we believe Mama is a 3 year old female Terrier Mix. From what we have observed Mama is a very sweet girl who craves attention and loves to play fetch. Mama has shown us she knows how to sit and laydown for belly rubs. Mama is a little timid at first but warms up quickly especially if she’s going to get a treat or you want to cuddle! Mama doesn’t seem to mind the other dogs here at the shelter! Mama weighs in at 42.2 lbs. and did great for her bath, nail trim and so loving during her examOx came to us as an owner surrender. We were told that Ox is a 6-year-old, intact, male American Bulldog-Mastiff mix. Ox’s owner told us that Ox is good with kids, dogs, housebroken and crate trained. Ox is not a fan of cats. Ox has shown us that he knows sit and shake. Ox loves to play ball and tug-o-war. Ox will become your best friend if you just give him treats and belly rubs. Ox weighs in at 63.8 lbs. and he did well for his bath and his examRay came to us as a stray so our knowledge is very limited and what we know is only to what we have observed. We believe Ray is a 2 year-old intact male Terrier mix. Ray is a very sweet boy who loves attention and treats. Ray knows how to play tug- of- war and loves to play with toys. Ray walks well on a leash. Ray doesn’t seem to mind the other dogs here at the shelter. Ray was a very relaxed pup for is nail trim, bath and exam where he weighs in at 47.6 lbs.Jessie came to us as a stray so are knowledge about her is very limited, and what we do know is ONLY from what we have observed here at the shelter. We believe Jessie is a 3-year-old female Terrier mix. Jessie is a very sweet girl who loves treats in exchange for belly rubs or any attention! Jessie is unsure what to do with toys but loves to cuddle and get petted! Jessie was found with another dog that she seems to get along with and she doesn’t seem to mind the other dogs here at the shelter. Jessie did great for her bath, nail trim and exam where is weighs in at 55.6 lbs.
