Loretta Mae McClurg, 86, of Greenville, Ohio, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 22, 2023, at the EverHeart Hospice Care Center in Greenville.
She was born in Morgantown, West Virginia, on December 22, 1936, to the late Frank and Margaret (Williams) Murphy.
In addition to her parents, Loretta was preceded in death by her husband, Lowell R. McClurg, whom she married on April 7, 1991 and who passed away on June 23, 2011; her son, John Louk; her granddaughter, Jacqueline Louk; her grandson, Harley Ray Louk; her great grandsons, Jacob Lawson and Jimmy Lawson; her siblings, John Richard Murphy, Frank Murphy Jr., Jason Murphy, Doris Brady, Leah Faye Royce, Jane Harvey, Margert Braham.
Loretta is survived by her children, Harley Louk of Springfield, Ohio, Cecil Louk of Neave Township, Ohio, Christopher Louk of Greenville, Robert Gray, Jr. of Greenville, Ohio, Sandra Gray of Greenville, Kathy Gray of Greenville, Annette Stalions of Bowling Green, Kentucky, and Rhonda (Scott) Weese of Greenville; her 12 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, and 10 great-great grandchildren; her siblings, Peggy Eakin of Fairmont, West Virginia, Barbara Smith of Jere, West Virginia, Sandra Alt of Carmichaels, Pennsylvania, and Harland Murphy of Dunkin, Oklahoma.
Loretta was a graduate of Morgantown High School in Morgantown West Virginia. She worked as a nurse’s aide for many years at Rest Haven Nursing Home in Greenville. In her free time, Loretta enjoyed gardening, crocheting, and completing puzzles. Loretta was a member of the Jehovah Witness.
A celebration of Loretta’s life will take place at 10:30 AM on Wednesday, November 29, 2023, at Tribute Funeral Homes, Greenville Campus, with Elder David Monroe officiating. Burial will follow in Greenville Township Memorial Gardens.
Guests may visit with her family on Tuesday, November 28, 2023, from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at the funeral home.
