Margaret A. “Marge” Paulus age 84, of Celina passed away at 1:02 am Thursday, September 12, 2024, at Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton.
Marge was born December 21, 1939, in Coldwater to the late Edmund & Rosella (Uleman) Muhlenkamp. Marge was also preceded in death by her husband, James C. “Jim” Paulus on September 29, 2012, whom she married April 22, 1961; son, Matthew R. Paulus; great-grandson, Victor James Ten Brink; seven siblings, infant Alice Muhlenkamp, Don Muhlenkamp, Doris & Jerry Schafer, Vera & Don Alig, Thelma & Dave Barga, Ken & Carolyn Muhlenkamp and Ginny McClurg; brothers-in-law, Jack Hardin, Tom Andrus and Jerald Paulus; as well as a sister-in-law Shirley Ann Paulus.
Marge is survived by her children, Michelle & Victor Ten Brink of Farmington Hills, Michigan, Kent & Jill Paulus of Versailles, Eric & Carmen Paulus of Versailles and Sarah & Cliff Poeppelman of Osgood; grandchildren, Michael (Julia) Paulus, Kevin (Nicole) Paulus, Victor (Stephanie) Ten Brink, Eric (Diana) Ten Brink, Jacob (Taylor) Paulus, Luke (Elizabeth) Paulus, Mitchell Paulus, Edward Poeppelman, Ethan Poeppelman and Isaac Poeppelman; great grandchildren, Landon, Bryce and Kerri Paulus; Mason and Grant Paulus; James, Luke and Austin Ten Brink; and Isaiah and Carly Paulus; siblings, Ruth Hardin of Sarasota, Florida, Mary & Carl Obringer of Fort Recovery, David & Marcia Muhlenkamp of Fort Recovery, Connie Andrus of Columbus and Judy & Jerry Schulze of Celina; sisters-in-law, Dorothy Muhlenkamp of Fort Recovery and Rose Mary Paulus of Versailles; brother-in-law, Pat McClurg of Versailles; along with numerous nieces and nephews.
Marge was a graduate of Coldwater High School and Wright State University. She was a devoted mother and a retired teacher from Immaculate Conception Catholic School in Celina. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Celina and the Celina Moose Lodge. Marge cherished her faith and was devoted to her church. Marge loved spending time with her grandchildren, great grandchildren and social time with friends. She enjoyed watching the Game Show Network in her spare time.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 am Monday, September 16, 2024, at St Denis Catholic Church in Versailles with Rev. Fr. Ned Brown celebrant. Burial will follow in St Valbert Cemetery, Versailles. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 2:00 to 5:00 pm and Monday morning from 9:00 to 10:00 am at Bailey Zechar Funeral Home in Versailles.
