Margaret Ann Floyd, age 85 of Ansonia, Ohio passed away at 7:17 PM Monday January 3, 2022 in the emergency room of Upper Valley Medical Center Troy, Ohio. Margaret was born August 20, 1936 in Ansonia, Ohio and the daughter of the late David P. Whitesell and Viola (Beyke) Swank.
She was retired in 1999 from Fram Corporation of Greenville and was an active homemaker. She enjoyed quilting, embroidering and crocheting.
In addition to her parents and stepfather Charles F. Swank, Margaret was preceded in death by her husband Willie M. Floyd April 2, 2008. They were married December 18, 1954. Also her son Tony Alan Floyd in 1958, Brothers Edward Whitesell and Charles W. Swank and sister and brother-in-law Clara and Jerry Edwards.
Margaret is survived by her children Tina (Michael) Glaser of Wilmington, Ohio, Virginia “Ginger” (Donald) Delk of Greenville and John Floyd and special friend Tammy McAlpin of Greenville; grandchildren Starr Hunt, Dawn (Ryan) Felheim, Lenny (Jessica) Glaser, Kelly (James) Spencer, Nicole (Matt) Fourman and Daniel (Bethany) Floyd; 10 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandchild; sisters Mary (Steven) Armstrong, Norma (James) Brandenburg and Nellie (Jeff) Smith all of Greenville; sisters-in-law Cindy Swank and Loellia Whitesell both of Greenville as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM Monday January 10, 2022 in the Zechar Bailey Funeral Home Greenville, Ohio. Burial will follow in the Grenville Township Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Monday from 11:30 AM until time of the services in the funeral home.
