Marvin “Gene” Eugene Printz, age 89, of Arcanum, passed away on Thursday, September 7, 2023 at Everheart Hospice Inpatient Unit in Greenville. He was born November 22, 1933 to Charles William & Mary Esther (Boyer) Printz in Dayton, OH.
He is preceded in death by his parents; daughter Dawn Oswalt; son-in-law Randy Weyrick; siblings Darlene Williamson, Donald Printz, Billy Printz, Tony Printz; sisters-in-law Marilyn Printz and Analee Printz.
He will be missed and remembered by his loving wife Treva Ellen (Kunkleman) Printz of 70 years; children Debbie Weyrick of Greenville, Daryl (Tammy) Printz of Arcanum, Dana (Scott) Beeson of Middletown; son-in-law Brian Oswalt of Laura; 9 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren and 1 on the way; siblings David (Mary Beth) Printz of Arcanum, Ronald Printz of Arcanum, Sandy (Rock) Warrick, Joyce (Mark) Miller.
Gene was a long time farmer in Darke County and a member of the Potsdam Church of the Brethren where he served as a trustee. He also loved woodworking, gardening, listening to country music. Gene was a sports fan, loved attending his grandchildren’s sporting and musical events, and spending time with his family.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, September 12, 2023 at Potsdam Church of the Brethren, 22 Cross St, Potsdam, OH 45361 with Pastor Carl Hill officiating. Burial will follow in Mote Cemetery, Pitsburg. The family will receive friends from 5-7 PM on Monday, September 11 at the church.
