Michael E. Brandt, age 71 of Arcanum, Ohio passed away peacefully at his home after a short battle with cancer, on Monday, July 24, 2023 at 11 AM. Born in Greenville, Ohio on May 28, 1952 he was a son to the late Richard C. & Betty R. (Mitchell) Brandt. Michael enjoyed the little things in life, he liked to stay at home, spend time with his grandchildren, listen to music and was an animal lover. He was an amazing cook, and his home cooked meals will be missed. He was a man of selflessness and his family was his heart and soul. Michael gave everyone around him the feeling of acceptance, that they were loved no matter what. He had a magical way of brightening any room he walked into with his sense of humor and upbeat fun- loving personality. He will be deeply missed. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother Joe M. Brandt: dear in-laws Verl & Harriet Sharp.
Survived by his wife of 45 years, Sharon (Sharp) Brandt, whom he married on December 10, 1977: children Stephanie & Kevin Burns; Jason & Lisa Brandt: grandchildren Devin & Peyton Burns; Dylan Burns and fiancé Karley; Whitney Burns; Jadyn Brandt; Kyra Brandt: great-grandson Tyler Michael Burns: siblings David & Jean Brandt of Las Vegas, NV; Steve & Joan Brandt of Greenville, OH; Jim & Pam Brandt of Syracuse, UT: sisters-in-law Susan & Pat Klosterman; Sandy & Steve Neal; Lucreda Brandt: as well as numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.
Friends and Family may call on the family on Friday, August 4, 2023 from 3:00 PM- 4:00PM at the Immanuel Baptist Church- 500 W South St, Arcanum, OH 45304-. A Memorial service will be held at 4PM at the church. There will also be a Celebration of Life for Michael, announced at a later date.
