JANUARY 11, 1945 – JANUARY 2, 2023
Mildred “Millie” Elizabeth Cook Langston age 77, peacefully passed away at her residence Monday, January 2, 2023, following a short illness.
She was born January 11, 1945, in Greenville to the late Robert L. & Edith (Wood) Cook. Millie is also preceded in death by a son, Bradley Daon Thompson; brother, Robert F. Cook; and mother-in-law & father-in-law, William & Peggy Hahn.
Millie is survived by her husband, Donald E. Langston whom she married October 30, 1982; daughters, Beth (Tom) Fuller and Heather Gigandet; sons, Gregory (Stacy) Thompson, Stephen Thompson and Eric (Jaime) Langston; 10 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; sisters, Pam (lee) Cable, Karen (Ron) Besecker and Kathy (Brent) Weidner; brother, Philip (Arin) Cook; and brother-in-law, William (Tammy) Hahn. She also leaves behind her cherished pup, “Tater Tot”.
Millie loved playing Bingo and was involved in raising funds through Paws Bingo for the Darke County Humane Society. She loved fishing and watching car races, which included traveling out of state to attend races. She also had a passion for all animals and outdoor activities. Her greatest love was her family and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Millie will be remembered for her infectious laugh and sense of humor which reminds us how blessed we were to enjoy the treasure of her love.
At Millie’s request there will be no funeral service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Darke County Humane Society or EverHeart Hospice in Greenville in Millie’s memory.
