
On April 24th, 2025 at approximately 8:07 A.M., Darke County Deputies, along with Gettysburg Fire and Rescue, Greenville Township Rescue, Bradford Rescue, and CareFlight were dispatched to the intersection of Auld Road and New Harrison Bradford Road, Gettysburg Ohio. This was in reference to a two vehicle accident with serious injury.
Preliminary investigation revealed a white 2018 Chevrolet Silverado, driven by Rodney Sneed (64) of Greenville Ohio, was traveling south on Auld Road. Mr. Sneed was hauling a thirty-foot flatbed trailer. Mr. Sneed was stopped in the roadway waiting to turn left onto New Harrison Bradford. Once able to, Mr. Sneed began his left turn. Mr. Sneed failed to yield the right of way to a northbound silver 2007 Chrysler Sebring, driven by Joy Marsh (27) of Gettysburg Ohio. Also in the vehicle, were Ms. Marsh’s two children, Owen Warner (6) and Wesley Ernst (4). Ms. Marsh struck the right front of Mr. Sneed’s vehicle.
Mr. Sneed was unharmed in this accident. Ms. Marsh suffered serious injury and was mechanically removed from the vehicle. Owen Warner and Wesley Ernst were both removed from the vehicle and seriously injured. Once child was flown by CareFlight to Children’s Hospital. Ms. Marsh and her second child were flown together in a second helicopter by CareFlight as well.
This accident remains under investigation by the Darke County Sheriff’s Office.
