Myrna Aileen (Nickol) Gehle Gigandet age 89, of Versailles went home to be with her Lord at 2:15 pm Wednesday, January 15, 2025, at Miami County Hospice Inpatient Unit in Troy.
Myrna was born March 21, 1935, in Versailles to the late Edwin & Mary (Printz) Nickol. On May 18, 1953, she married her high school sweetheart, Delaine Gehle, who passed in 1982. Myrna later married Norman Gigandet in January 1985, who passed in 2011.
Myrna & Delaine are the parents of five children, Max & Kris (Barga) Gehle of Huntsville, Sandy & Roger Grilliot of Versailles, Dennis & Tammie (Headley Elliott) Gehle of Clayton, North Carolina, Mark & Deb (Seger) Gehle of Yorkshire, and Sharon & Doug Chandler of Liberty, Kentucky.
Myrna was preceded in death by her 1st husband, Delaine; 2nd husband, Norman; brothers & sisters-in-law, Fred & Iris Nickol, Van Nickol, John & Ramona Nickol, Neil & Peggy Nickol and Edwin Nickol; brother-in-law, Eddie Paulus; son-in-law, Tom Henry; granddaughter, Erin Gehle; great granddaughter, Chloe Grilliot; grandson, Brian Chandler; brothers-in-law & sisters-in-law, Tom Meiring, Frank & Betty (Gehle) Nieman, David Gehle, Keith Gehle, Chet Moore, Jerry & Joan Gigandet, Robert Gigandet, and George Gigandet.
Myrna is survived by her 5 children and spouses; brother & sister-in-law, Ramon & Rosie Nickol; sister, Miriam Paulus; 18 grandchildren; 32 great grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Marge Gehle, Jean Meiring, Karen Moore, Anna Maria Gehle and Evelyn Gigandet; brothers-in-law & sisters-in-law, Richard & Karen Gehle, Jim & Sheila Didier, and Karon & Lyle Crowell.
Myrna loved to spend time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She also loved to play a good slot machine, cards and dominos. She enjoyed decorating her home and yard for the holidays.
