COLUMBUS—The Ohio Pro-Life Caucus held a meet and greet Friday with pregnancy resource center staff, to provide a legislative update and discuss ways to best support mothers and families across Ohio. High school and college students from Students for Life of America clubs around the state were also in attendance.
“Our goal was to provide legislators, staff from women’s care facilities, and students an opportunity to meet, mingle, and continue to find meaningful ways to partner in their communities,” said Chair Powell. “Every area of Ohio was represented, with some individuals driving many hours to join us today. We are truly excited to redouble our efforts to serve the women of Ohio.”
Ohio Attorney General Dave Yost and his wife Darlene also spoke about their passion for helping women and children thrive, and concrete ways to make a difference.
“We are so grateful for the tireless service that Ohio’s 120-plus pregnancy resource centers offer to women, and we want to support the good work they do in every way possible,” said Chair Powell.
The Ohio Pro-Life Caucus was also honored to host representatives from key community organizations such as HerPLAN, Center for Christian Virtue, Students for Life of America, Susan B. Anthony Pro-Life America, and Heartbeat International.
“As a female legislator and pregnancy center director, I am working on policies and initiatives that give Ohio mothers and children the best opportunities to thrive,” said Rep. Melanie Miller. “I look forward to seeing how today’s event blesses and empowers future generations to come.”
The Ohio Pro-Life Caucus exists to advocate for policies to support women and children in the Buckeye State.
