Ohio Right to Life Announces Support for Ohio HB 47

COLUMBUS, Ohio—  Ohio Right to Life announced it’s strong support for HB 47, the Human Trafficking Prevention Act. This bill, sponsored by pro-life Representatives Josh Williams and Nick Santucci, combats human trafficking by increasing penalties to convicted traffickers and increases the age to 18 years old, instead of 13 years old, to be identified as a victim of specific crimes.

“This is a strategic piece of legislation to combat this horrific crime and recognizes the importance of protecting human dignity,” said Ohio Right to Life Director of Legislative Affairs, Emma Martinez. “Human trafficking reduces people into profits. This bill proves that Ohio will continue to fight commercializing human beings while holding traffickers responsible for their crime.”
