COLUMBUS, Ohio—Ohio Right to Life released a statement commending the legislative veto override of HB 68.
“Protecting our children is the first, most basic fundamental charge we have,” Peter Range, CEO of Ohio Right to Life, said. “Protecting girls from having to compete against males who identify as females and protecting our children from sterilizing and experimental transgender medicine should not be controversial. We are thankful to the Ohio House for overriding the legislative veto of HB 68.”
The Save Women’s Sports Act ensures that girls competing in sports in Ohio are not forced to compete against biological males identifying as females in a biological female sport, and the SAFE Act prohibits sterilizing and experimental transgender medicine on children.
Ohio Right to Life now supports the Ohio Senate following the House in overriding the legislative veto of HB 68.
