On Saturday, July 30th, the Darke County Animal Shelter had its second annual Open House from 12PM – 3PM.
Already quite some time before the begin of the event, there was a long line of people who wanted to adopt one of the 15 puppies, which just turned 8 weeks and were ready for adoption at the event.
At the end of the event all puppies -of course- had been adopted out and additionally 5 “older” dogs found a new home!
Free food, free door prizes, obedience demos and many vendors, who took the chance to present themselves to the visitors, made this an enjoyable event. The Green Lawn Animal Clinic was busy during the whole event with vaccinating and microchipping pets
