OSU Extension and Darke County Farm Bureau are continuing a farm management series this summer aimed towards young to mid-career farmers. We started with three sessions over the winter covering record keeping, farm transition, and farm diversification. The goal of this series is to provide support to our next generation of owner/operators.
Our next session in the series will be on advocacy and water quality on June 30. Getting involved is important to create changes for our farms, that are advantageous to us. With that, there is more pressure from policy and the public to improve water quality. Jordan Hoewischer the director of water quality with Ohio Farm Bureau will be our speaker. The event will take place at Sure Shot Tap House in Greenville and will start at 5:30 p.m. and we will start with drinks and pizza for $5. Mr. Hoewischer will start speaking at 6 p.m. For more information or questions contact Taylor Dill at 937-569-5000 or dill.138@osu.edu
