COLUMBUS – The Ohio State Highway Patrol joined forces with other members of the 6-State Trooper Project to focus on criminal patrol and drug interdiction. During the project, Ohio State Highway Patrol troopers made 54 felony drug arrests for drugs and recovered 13 illegal firearms.
The enforcement effort included the Indiana State Police, Kentucky State Police, Michigan State Police, Pennsylvania State Police, West Virginia State Police and Ohio State Highway Patrol. The initiative began on Thursday, September 12 at 12:01 a.m. and continued through Sunday, September 15 at 11:59 p.m.
Collectively, troopers made 441 felony drug arrests and recovered 40 illegal firearms.
The 6-State Trooper Project is a multi-state law enforcement partnership aimed at providing combined and coordinated law enforcement and security services in the areas of highway safety, criminal patrol and intelligence sharing.
