Pete Says “Happy New Year!”

By Lois E. Wilson

Pete welcomes 2022. He is fascinated with words and their construction. He challenges you to see how many 2 to 5 letter words you can form using only the 12 letters in the phrase “HAPPY NEW YEAR.” It includes: 2 A’s, 2 E’s, 2 P’s and 2 Y’s, and the single letters: H, N, W, and R. There are 96 of his words listed in the answers and there are probably more. If your words scored: 1-35 good start, 36-75 you’re well on your way, 76+ you’re a whiz! Congratulations!  The starting letters are given.

Wilson’s completed set of books has a new edition – now six volumes – of published poetry. Volume 1 is out of print and no longer available, and only a few Volumes 2-6 are still available. They are offered as a fundraiser for Empowering Darke County Youth. Enjoy great poetry and help a child achieve his or her educational goals.
