Phyllis Ann Conner, 84, of Greenville, Ohio, passed away early Thursday morning, June 16, 2022, at the Brethren Retirement Community in Greenville.
She was born in Greenville on January 20, 1938, to the late George Cook and Doris (McCarthy) Ward.
In addition to her parents, Phyllis was preceded in death by her husband, James A. Conner, in 2016, whom she married on June 19, 1976; her sisters, Janice and Doreen, and Vivian Bruchey.
Phyllis was a simple lady with simple tastes. She enjoyed completing cross word puzzles, and watching Jeopardy, Wheel of Fortune, and many other game shows on TV.
Phyllis is survived by her children, Jackie Andrews of Washington State, Jerry (Robin) Coffield of Fairborn, Ohio, Carrie (Dave) Sharp of Greenville, and Heidi (Jeff) Wolfe of Versailles, Ohio; her grandchildren and great grandchildren; Shirley Unger of Greenville, Cindy (Wayne) Price of Greenville, and Mike Cook of Troy, Ohio; her brother-in-law, Bud Bruchey of Arcanum, Ohio; and many nieces and nephews.
A celebration of Phyllis’ life will be held at 1:00 PM on Monday, June 20, 2022, at Tribute Funeral Homes, Greenville Campus, with Pastor Tony Price officiating. Burial will follow in Greenville Union Cemetery.
The family will be receiving guests at the funeral home on Monday, from 12 noon until the time of the service at 1:00 PM.
