The Ohio Department of Education announced the Reaching All Students Through Language and Literacy grants. The focus of the grant program is to provide training and support for educators and draw on the family and community resources students to improve the quality of literacy instruction.
The Department expects to award $4 million to 20 subgrantees (up to $200,000 per site). The project will develop a two-year network of educators from grantee schools. Network meetings will occur monthly throughout the 2022-2023 and 2023-2024 academic years on a virtual platform.
At least one award will be set aside for the most qualified application from a community school and a dropout prevention and recovery community school. Groups or networks of schools may also apply.
The final application must be submitted through the Comprehensive Continuous Improvement Plan (CCIP) by Sept. 15 at 4:59 p.m. You can still apply even if you did not previously submit a notice of intent to apply.
