Richard Conrad Miller age 82, of Greenville and formerly of New Jersey passed away at 3:51 AM on Wednesday, July 7, 2021, at Brookdale of Greenville.
Richard was born July 2, 1939, in Newark, New Jersey, to the late Alexander & Helen (Poth) Miller. In addition to his parents, Richard was also preceded in death by his wife, Marie Yvonne (Purcell) Miller whom he married December 26, 1961; brother, John Miller; and sister, Helen White.
Richard was a 1957 graduate of East Side High School in Newark, New Jersey. Richard served in the U.S. Army 2nd Armored Division during the Vietnam War. He retired in 1994 from Bonland Industries where he was a sheet metal worker. Richard was a member of the American Legion in Chambersburg, Pennsylvania.
Richard is survived by his children, Deborah A. & Robert Jones of Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, Elissa Marie Miller of Levittown, Pennsylvania, Richard C. (Jr) & Tish Miller of Greenville and Daniel A. & Joyce Miller of Virginia Beach, Virginia; grandchildren, Elizabeth (Miller) & Clint Davis, Victoria Miller, Elisa Marie Miller and Daniel A. Miller Jr.; great-grandson, Emerson W. Davis; and sisters-in-law, Nancy Miller of Newark, New Jersey, Edwina DiPietro of Vero Beach, Florida, and Kate Purcell of Clinton, New Jersey.
A celebration of Richard’s life will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, July 9, 2021, at Zechar Bailey Funeral Home in Greenville with Pastor Chris Cobb officiating. Full military honors will be conducted by the Greenville Veteran’s Honor Guard at the funeral home. The family will receive friends on Friday from 1:00 to 2:00 PM at the funeral home.
