Richard Jacob Voskuhl, age 75, of Greenville, Ohio, passed away on Saturday, February 27, 2021, at Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton.
He was born on May 10, 1945, in Celina, Ohio, to the late Sylvester and Loretta (Esser) Voskuhl.
In addition to his parents, Richard was preceded in death by his life companion, Deborah Kramer, and his brother Sylvester, Jr.
Richard loved his family, especially his grandsons – they were his pride and joy. He enjoyed going to dances and listening to music. Richard was an avid baseball card collector. He loved poker games with his family. His sense of humor and quick wit made him beloved by all who know him. Everyone was always complimenting on how nice of a guy Richard was. Richard was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Greenville and of the Knights of Columbus.
Richard is survived by his daughters, Lisa Upchurch of Berne, Indiana, and Laura (Rory) Fifer of Bryant, Indiana; his grandchildren, Jarret (Kate) Upchurch, Caleb Fifer, and Gavin Richards; his great grandson, Tobias Upchurch; and his siblings, Carol (Ned) Baumgartner of Fort Wayne, Indiana, Joan (Jim) Pierce of Fort Wayne, and Linda Hufford of Decatur, Indiana.
A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 11:00 AM on Friday, March 5, 2021, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Greenville, with Father Matt Feist as celebrant. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
Guests may visit with the family on Thursday, March 4, 2021 from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM and again on Friday from 9:30 AM until 10:30 AM at Tribute Funeral Homes, Greenville Campus. The rosary will be said on Thursday at 7:00 PM.
