Robert “Bob” Lee Hamilton, 83, of Versailles, Ohio, passed away on Wednesday, July 21, 2021, at Versailles Healthcare.
He was born on March 26, 1938, in Greenville, Ohio, to the late Ray and Mary (Eikenberry) Hamilton.
In addition to his parents, Bob was preceded in death by his sister, Joann Weaver.
Bob served his country in the United States Army and was member of the American Legion in Ansonia. He worked for Hobart Brothers in Troy, assembling welding machines, retiring after 30 years of service. Bob had many passions in life. He loved horses and watching the harness races at the fair and would go to The Little Brown Jug every year. He was a member of Men’s for Missions and went to Spain on a mission trip in 2004. He loved going to the Great Darke County Fair and would work the Men’s for Missions Lemonade Shake-up stand. He and Treva were members of the Senior Citizens Card Club in Ansonia. Bob and Treva had countless friends and loved going on several cruises with them. He touched many lives and many hearts, which are now broken.
Bob if survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Treva Ann (Dickey) Hamilton, whom he married on January 14, 1961; his brother, Jim (Thelma) Hamilton of Greenville, Ohio; and an abundance of nieces, nephews and friends.
A celebration of Bob’s life will be held at 11:00 AM, on Monday, July, 26, 2021, at Tribute Funeral Homes, Greenville Campus, with Pastors Steve Short and Scotty Brooks officiating. Burial, with full military honors conducted by the Greenville Honor Guard, will follow in Harris Creek Cemetery near Bradford, Ohio.
His family will be receiving guests Monday, from 10:00 AM until the time of the services at 11:00 AM.
