Robert D. Turner, age 91, of Greenville passed away on Wednesday, February 7, 2024 at Village Green Nursing Home under the care of Everheart Hospice. He was born on February 6, 1933 in Rossburg to the late Ballinger and Grace Turner.
In addition to his parents, Robert is preceded in death by his siblings, Anna Mary, Dorothy, Ruth, Alta, Alice, Mildred, Virginia, June, Junior, Wayne, and Russell.
Robert is survived by his loving wife of 71 years, Nadine Turner; son, Daniel (Vickie) Turner; daughter, Delana (Michael) Pfoutz; sister, Norma Rammel; sister-in-law, Janet Turner; grandchildren, Brad (Beth) Turner and Lynette (Dillan); great grandchildren, Noah Turner, Alexis (Sam) Hallum, Coleton, and Nikki; and great great grandchildren, Samson, Sophia, and Delilah; and many nieces and nephews.
Robert was a Veteran of the United States Army. He graduated from Ansonia High School in 1951. Robert was co-owner of Ansonia Farm Service. He was very active in his church, Rossburg GM Church. He was also very active in the planning committee in Darke County, the board of elections, and the health department. Robert loved fishing in the state of Michigan. He also loved watching his grandson play sports.
A visitation will be held from 10:00 AM-12:00 PM on Monday, February 12, 2024 at Tribute Funeral Homes, Greenville. A funeral service will follow the visitation at Noon. Interment will immediately follow at Greenville Township Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Rossburg GM Church and Everheart Hospice, 1350 N Broadway St, Greenville, OH 45331.
